who?

Welcome to the Toast of the Coast website. The Toast of the Coast Advanced Toastmasters Club is a local chapter of Toastmasters International. We are one of 21 clubs in Nova Scotia, Canada and we are part of Area 9 in District 45.

what?

We offer a friendly, supportive learning environment for Toastmasters to enhance their communications skills. Guests are always welcome to visit Toast of the Coast. Toast of the Coast is an advanced club, which means that in order to join our club you must have already achieved your CTM from Toastmasters International.  If you are interested in general information about the Toastmasters program, click on the Toastmasters.org links to the left.

why?We provide an opportunity for Toastmasters to continue to develop as speakers and evaluators.  Speakers can benefit by receiving evaluations from experienced members. Our club is also a great place to meet and exchange ideas with Toastmasters from other clubs. And the best reason of all to join Toast of the Coast: it's fun! Want to know more? click on the "Benefits of Joining" link on the left.

how?

Our meetings follow the typical format of all Toastmasters clubs. But we focus on providing thorough, positive, constructive speech evaluations. Each speaker is evaluated by an assigned speech evaluator, and this is followed by a round-table panel evaluation by the group, and an opportunity for the speaker to respond to the feedback.
